Start with the activity your child wants
Choose one topic, explore a few cards together and follow your child's interest. You can return another day rather than finishing a whole module. These guides show what is in the app and give you something useful to try away from the screen too.
- Urdu qaida and alif bay pay — meet the letters, picture words and tracing.
- English and Urdu handwriting practice — see the arrows and numbered starts; try the browser demo.
- Preschool learning for ages 3–7 — letters, counting, colours and simple games.
- Body names in English and Urdu — a word table and point-and-name routine.
- Bilingual picture stories — see story examples and read together.
- Kids poems and spoken rhymes — short verses and repeat-and-clap ideas.
Islamic learning with an adult
Use these introductions alongside your family's practice or a trusted teacher. Check pronunciation together; phone voices are synthetic and do not certify recitation.
- Daily duas — connect meals, bedtime, waking and travel to the card meanings.
- Namaz and wudu — illustrated Hanafi-guided positions and selected phrase excerpts.
- Six kalimas — text, transliteration and meanings for shared practice.
- What the Islamic topics cover — decide what suits your family.
Set up the phone voices
KidSpin uses your phone's text-to-speech engine, rather than a library of human recordings. Open a card, select English or Urdu and listen yourself first. If a language is missing or unclear, use the app's Urdu voice notice and your phone's text-to-speech settings to check available language voices. Settings names and supported voices vary by device.
For offline use, install an offline voice for each language you want to hear, then test a card in airplane mode before a journey. The lessons, games and stories are bundled, but the installed speech engine determines which voices work offline. More about offline use.
Choose what your child sees
In Settings, use “Choose what your child sees” to select modules and set the child's age. Parents can hide Islamic topics or show all modules. Today's Path offers three short activities; stickers record completed activities, rather than proving mastery. See the step-by-step parent guide.
The parent question is a handoff prompt before settings, purchases and external actions. Stay involved when managing them; it is not identity verification or a guarantee that a child cannot answer.
Free content, purchases and privacy
The app is free with no ads or login. Fourteen learning topics, sixteen bilingual story books and seven games are free. An optional Bonus Pack adds ten topics. Google Play offers a one-time purchase at the local price shown before confirmation; separate web purchase options are listed on the pricing page. Purchases, restores and license checks need internet.
Learning progress and Echo recordings stay on your phone. Parent license-code checks and any enabled crash diagnostics have separate data handling described in the privacy policy. If you need help with a purchase, voice or a lesson, contact support with your phone model and app version.

Questions parents ask
Do I need a separate account for the guides?

Can I try something before installing?
Yes. The free browser tracing demo includes a few English and Urdu letters, with numbered starts and arrows.
Are these guides a school or Quran curriculum?
No. They describe KidSpin’s introductory activities and offer parent-led practice ideas. They do not replace a school curriculum or a qualified Quran or Arabic teacher.
